This role is on-site at our Waynesboro, VA location.

DuPont Community Credit Union (DCCU) is seeking qualified candidates for a Credit Processor to join the Consumer Credit department. DCCU aims to help members achieve financial success by aligning them with the right products and services to make a difference in their lives.

• Provide loan decisions and/or credit recommendations based on a review of underwriting criteria.
• Educate and provide courteous, timely, and effective support to DCCU employees on Consumer Lending functions, including Home Equity processing, title record management, and loan quality control.
• Ensure consumer loans are documented in compliance with current Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, including applicable state and federal requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in real estate lending, focusing on processing and document preparation for Home Equity loan requests.
• Coordinate with vendors, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), auto dealers, and other external partners as needed.
• Facilitate and perform administrative duties related to Debt Protection and GAP claims, ensuring accurate and efficient administration of related programs.
• Support operational excellence by ensuring lending processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in Consumer Loan Products preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Courtious and friendly member-relations skills.
• Problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Ability to handle confidential files.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
