As the Supply Chain Planning Specialist

This is a high-impact opportunity to architect the GSC and Supplier Performance Management (SPM) operational landscape of a startup-style environment backed by the resources of a global defense leader.

You will be the primary onsite lead for our GSC and SPM organization. In this role, you will connect program, PMO, GSC, and SPM functional resources across multiple sites and ensure that the tactical needs of our shop floor are addressed from the GSC perspective.

We are looking for a process-thinking visionary who can take a greenfield site and establish a high-performing last mile process for success in the GSC domain, supported by numerous GSC professional and leaders across the organization.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Material Shortage Resolution - Identify critical material gaps early, develop corrective actions, and recover program schedules and budgets.
  • Prioritization & Adaptability - Continuously assess shifting program needs; re‑prioritize tasks to meet changing delivery timelines and resource constraints.
  • Project Planning - Draft and maintain detailed project plans that integrate supply‑chain milestones with overall program schedules, risk registers, and opportunity logs.
  • Last‑Mile Coordination - Drive end‑to‑end delivery execution across multiple campuses, ensuring that final‑leg shipments meet timing, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Supplier Engagement - Serve as the GSC prime contact for contract‑level supplier interactions; lead supplier briefings, performance reviews, and corrective‑action workshops.
  • Delivery Optimization - Align supplier production and shipping schedules with program, business‑unit, and corporate targets; negotiate adjustments to minimize bottlenecks.
