Electroplating
Understand and locate plating and VPC process documentation in the ISO database
Set up automated plating equipment and associated items such as plating barrels, racks and fixtures to run parts on gold, anodize or electrolysis nickel lines
Use GS documents for amperage and time settings to regulate gold/nickel plating
Check process baths for temperature and can check pH; also run electrolysis nickel and anodize analysis if necessary
Adjust process baths to conform to specification
Read blueprints, sketches and drawings to verify conformance of finished work piece to designated tolerance specifications using appropriate inspection tools such as x-ray fluorescence unit
Understand flow pattern and how to start/shut down VPC waste treatment system as well as operate
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and problem solve
Operate and comprehend the functioning and running capabilities of gold barrel line, select plater, anodize, and nickel plate lines
Demonstrate sound QA principles as applied to plating line operations. Inform and keep supervision informed of any quality issues pertaining to line and process equipment operation
Willingness to be a team player and the desire to assist others on the various plating line operations
Willingness to work around chemicals and use PPE to perform plating job functions as required
Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-3 year minimum manufacturing experience. Experience with metal finishing and/or automated lines preferred.
