Utility Worker

What You’ll Do:

Perform semi‑skilled labor in various maintenance, installation, repair, construction, or related work. Work revolves around maintaining the City’s infrastructure/facilities and utilities. This position is vital to keeping the City fully functional. A successful candidate will operate motorized vehicles, non‑specialized equipment, and assist with the maintenance of traffic controls. Specific position duties depend on the department. Positions are available for Sewer, Streets, Water, and Traffic.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimal experience preferred; however experience is not required, will train the right candidate.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, crawling, and the use of general hand tools and specialized equipment.

The starting salary for a Utility Worker I of 17.03/HR with the potential for pay increases for acquiring additional skills and education.
