The City of Waynesboro Public Works Department seeks individuals for the Heavy Equipment Operator I or II position.
What You’ll Do:Individuals will be required to perform difficult semiskilled and skilled work in the operation of motorized equipment in the performance of a variety of maintenance activities. Motorized equipment includes backhoes, skid steer, and/or excavator. Work is revolved around maintaining the City’s infrastructure/ facilities and utilities. This position is vital to keeping the City fully functional. Positions are available for Sewer, Water, and Stormwater.

- Must have thorough knowledge and experience in the safe operation of construction and automotive equipment
- Must have thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations governing equipment operations. Starting salary of $19.40/HR depending on experience.
