Overview
UTILITIES FIELD SUPPORT:
Perform a variety of skilled duties related to maintenance, repair, service and installation of commercial and residential water and sewer utility connections. Act as a field-based representative for the public related to water meters, sewer connections, and Utilities Division activities.
- Execute skilled tasks in the installation, maintenance and repair of water and sewer utility connections.
- Represent the Utilities Division in the field, ensuring quality service to customers related to water meters and sewer connections.
- High School Diploma with at least 3 years related experience required.
- Must be able to read and accurately record numbers in a hand-held computer.
- Must possess a valid operator’s license.
- Experience with the operation, maintenance and repair of meter reading equipment, plumbing or other related equipment desired.
- Experience with field customer service desired.
- Must be independently motivated, maintain regular attendance, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under varying climate conditions and have knowledge of street locations within the City of Waynesboro.
Starting salary is $18.48 - $19.40/hr.
