Waynesboro Redevelopment and Housing is looking for a passionate and dedicated Family Self Sufficiency Coordinator to join our team in Waynesboro, VA. Responsibilities- Develop and manage individualized Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) contracts and action plans for program participants
- Connect participants with community resources, social services, job training, and educational opportunities
- Conduct regular case management meetings to monitor participant progress toward self-sufficiency goals
- Coordinate with local agencies, employers, and service providers to expand resource networks
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records, escrow accounts, and program documentation
- Facilitate workshops and group sessions focused on financial literacy, employment readiness, and life skills
- Ensure program compliance with HUD regulations and reporting requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
- Experience in case management, social services, or community development
- Knowledge of HUD Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) or public housing programs is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build trust with diverse populations
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and managing multiple caseloads simultaneously
- Familiarity with local community resources and social service agencies in the Waynesboro/Shenandoah Valley area
