Position: Equipment Analyst (Weatherford, OK)

Job Summary

Equipment Analyst – Weatherford, OK. Supports operators at several plants, storage facilities, and pipeline sites. Focuses on diagnostics with operating and reciprocating equipment, compressor/engine diagnostics, and emissions equipment testing.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics on rotating and/or reciprocating equipment to identify underperforming equipment, mechanical failures, and limits around emission control requirements.
  • Operate diagnostic programs including vibration analysis, compressor/engine analysis, ultrasonic analysis, IR scanning, and engine exhaust emission testing.
  • Maintain, prepare, and interpret reports on equipment performance, emissions, oil analysis, vibration, ultrasonic, infrared, inspection, and work orders.
  • Use and maintain corporate asset management tool, Maximo.
  • Maintain and calibrate analysis equipment per manufacturer recommendations.
  • Operate emission monitoring equipment and maintain proficiency with associated software.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs or adjustments to engines, compressors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes to achieve permitted emission levels.
  • Provide technical support to area mechanics, Operations, and Engineering for engines, compressors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
  • Support incident investigations and failure analysis reports.
  • Conduct training sessions with mechanics.
  • Provide project and operational support during key design and start‑up phases.
  • Attend on‑site and off‑site training courses and pass all qualifying tests.
  • Identify O&M project needs based on equipment condition, performance, and reliability.
  • Trend data to predict maintenance timing and maximize economic run time and operational availability.
  • May work overtime and maintain availability for call-outs and extended travel when necessary.
Education

None Required.

Work Experience
  • 3 – 5 years related work experience as an industrial mechanic maintaining compressors (reciprocating, screw, centrifugal), internal combustion engines, fans, pumps, and electric motors.
  • 3 – 5 years related work experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in the gas compression discipline, or system or processing plant.
  • Electrical experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of emissions monitoring and use of an engine emission analyzer.
  • Knowledge of safe and compliant operation of internal combustion engines, reciprocating/screw compressors, gas turbines, pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Computer/software and hardware proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Mathematical skills.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, perform duties, and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Immediate reaction to emergency situations to prevent injury.
  • Operate required tools and equipment.

Physical Demands

Medium. Requires exerting 20‑50 pounds of force occasionally and 10‑25 pounds of force frequently; involves standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, finger dexterity, and visual acuity.

Working Conditions
  • Inside and outside environments: well‑lit, climate‑controlled areas and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Potential exposure to wet/humid conditions, extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, vibration, loud noises, unprotected heights, and repetitive motion.
  • Use of computer monitors.
  • Travel to other locations, plants, and job sites required.
  • May have to use a company vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
