Clerical Assistant (Health Sciences)
Position Summary
Assist the Administrative Assistant for the Health and Human Sciences department and the Secretary for the HHS with return calls and emails for two busy nursing programs and other assigned tasks.
ScheduleMaximum 19 hours per week; schedule varies by day, within normal business hours.
Pay Rate$15.00 per hour
Term12‑month
Required Background & Other Requirements- Security sensitive position requiring a satisfactory criminal history background check.
- Males between ages 18 and 25 must be registered with the Selective Service System.
- Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - Preferred:
Associate Degree or some college experience.
- Experience working with the public, demonstrating good communication skills.
- Computer literate; proficiency with Excel and Word.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of health care programs is a plus.
- Return phone calls and respond to emails from prospective and current students.
- Create Excel spreadsheets for nursing programs during application periods.
- Provide excellent customer service when dealing with students.

- Ability to treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice without discrimination.
- Ability to exercise the highest professional and ethical standards in the use of college time and resources.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
- Ability to present information to various groups.
- Ability to work in a very busy environment.
