Adjunct Instructor – Workforce/Continuing/Developmental Education
Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. Applying for an adjunct appointment would add the applicant to a pool which is available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case a need arises for the academic year. When an opening occurs, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants on an as‑needed basis.

Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as mentoring students inside and outside of the classroom.
Required Education- Associate degree and/or 2–5 years work experience in the field of study.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 6–10 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study.
- Master’s degree and/or 11–15 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study.
- Doctorate degree and/or 16+ years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study.
Associate or Bachelor of Culinary Arts Degree.
Required ExperienceExperience developing culinary education, curriculum planning, development, evaluation, and testing; advanced level knowledge in food preparation and culinary education; and three or more years of teaching or training experience in culinary arts.
Preferred ExperienceThree or more years of work‑related experience.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide instruction in both traditional and non‑traditional learning modes and engage in instructional preparation. Provide timely feedback to students and respond to student communications promptly. Assess student performance, including submission of final grades in a timely fashion. Maintain ethical and professional behavior. Be available to students by appointment. Attend adjunct faculty meetings. Assess courses on departmental and institutional levels. Complete any required training.
Other related duties, as assigned.
