Position Summary
Primary duties of full time faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as recruiting, advising, and mentoring students in and outside of the classroom. The faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, be they face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction.
Full time faculty members are also responsible for participation in professional development activities, serving on college committees, developing and updating curriculum, textbook, equipment selection and instructional materials. Faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
Coaching:
Analyses performance and instructs college athletes in game strategies & techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Recruit quality student athletes by developing a network across the country of potential S‑A’s that fit the profile. Other duties as assigned.
All faculty members must meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools ( SACS ) academic, oral and written English proficiency requirements. All full time faculty members must demonstrate a willingness and abilities to teach day, evening and/or weekend classes in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit environments.
Required EducationAll faculty members must possess minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools ( SACS ) credential standards. Bachelor’s degree required.
Required Experience2-3 years playing experience in Professional or College golf and/or 2-3 years College coaching experience.
Preferred Experience1-2 years recruiting experience, in addition to 2-3 years playing experience in Professional or College golf and/or 2-3 years College coaching experience.

Coaching:
- Recruiting, advising & academic tracking
- Practice planning
- Arrange team travel
- Assist in scheduling
- Perform regular room checks of S‑A’s, stats & weekly reporting
- Equipment/uniform inventory & maintenance
- Pre/post game & practice management
Skills and Abilities
Each full time faculty member must demonstrate the ability to develop curriculum and instruct in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses; ability to provide instruction that will achieve the specific goals and objectives associated with all assigned courses; ability to create a professional and effective learning environment in the classroom and/or laboratory; ability to communicate effectively with students, college personnel and administration, peers and public groups;
ability to treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice, without discrimination based upon age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity; ability to exercise the highest professional and ethical standards in the use of College time and resources; and, ability to observe the stated policies and procedures of the College.
