Adjunct Instructor – Adult Echocardiography

• Associate degree and/or 2–5 years work experience in the field of study;
• Bachelor’s degree and/or 6–10 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study;
• Master’s degree and/or 11–15 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study;
• Doctorate degree and/or 16+ years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study;
• Associate degree plus ARDMS or CCI registration in adult echocardiography are minimum requirements. Copies of certificates/license must be submitted with application.

Three years full‑time clinical experience as an adult cardiac sonographer.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Previous adult echocardiography or diagnostic medical sonography related teaching experience is a plus.

• Teach courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses.
• Mentor students in and outside of the classroom.
• Create and maintain an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, including face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or within the context of dual‑credit instruction.
• Adhere to College policies and procedures.
• Provide instruction in both traditional and non‑traditional learning modes and engage in instructional preparation.
• Provide timely feedback to students and respond to student communications promptly.
• Assess student performance and submit final grades in a timely fashion.
• Maintain ethical and professional behavior.
• Be available to students by appointment.
• Attend adjunct faculty meetings and assess courses at departmental and institutional levels.
• Complete required training and other related duties as assigned.
