Position Summary

Weatherford College is seeking an Adjunct (general education) instructor for its Learning Frameworks course (EDUC 1300). This continuous‑recruitment adjunct faculty position will be filled on an as‑needed basis and provides teaching, mentorship, and assessment responsibilities across multiple modalities including face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, and dual‑credit instruction.

Special Requirements

This is a security‑sensitive position that requires a satisfactory criminal history background check. Males between the ages of 18 and 25 must be registered with the Selective Service System to be eligible for employment.

Responsibilities
  • Teach the Learning Frameworks course, guiding students in learning theories, cognition, motivation, and application of learning strategies.
  • Facilitate student achievement of learning outcomes and mentor students inside and outside the classroom.
  • Create and maintain a professional and effective learning environment in the assigned modality.
  • Prepare instructional materials and deliver content in traditional and non‑traditional learning modes.
  • Provide timely feedback and respond to student communications.
  • Assess student performance and submit final grades promptly.
  • Attend adjunct faculty meetings and participate in course assessments at departmental and institutional levels.
  • Complete required training and any related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
Required Education

All applicants must hold a Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or relevant licenses must be submitted with the application.
