Adjunct Instructor – Radiologic Technology
Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors in the Radiologic Technology department. Qualified applicants who are added to the recruitment pool will be considered for openings on an as‑needed basis.
Position OverviewFull‑time/Part‑time:

Teaching, instruction, and student mentoring in Radiologic Technology courses. Duties include creating and maintaining effective learning environments across face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, and dual‑credit modalities. Faculty are expected to provide timely feedback, maintain academic integrity, and attend faculty meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Teach courses in the approved discipline, enabling students to acquire the specific learning outcomes identified for each course.
- Mentor students inside and outside the classroom.
- Provide instruction in both traditional and non‑traditional learning modes.
- Engage in instructional preparation and timely feedback to students.
- Assess student performance and submit final grades promptly.
- Maintain ethical and professional behavior at all times.
- Be available to students by appointment.
- Attend adjunct faculty meetings.
- Assess courses at departmental and institutional levels.
- Complete any required training and other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum A.A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Adherence to Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching workforce certificates or degree completion courses.
- Submission of transcripts, certificates, and/or license with application.
- Levels of experience corresponding to degree:
Associate degree (2‑5 years), Bachelor’s (6‑10 years), Master’s (11‑15 years), Doctorate (16+ years).
- Additional qualifications or experience beyond the minimum requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of x‑ray work experience.
- Current ARRT certification and Texas Medical Board (TMB) license.
- Submission of certificates or license with application.
- Minimum 2 years of x‑ray work experience with radiology students.
Skills and Abilities
- Effective instruction in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual‑credit courses.
- Ability to achieve course goals and objectives.
- Creation of a professional and effective learning environment.
- Effective communication with students, college personnel, peers, and the public.
- Adherence to non‑discrimination policies and ethical standards.
- Compliance with college policies and procedures.
This position is designated as a security sensitive position and requires a satisfactory criminal history background check.
Males between the ages of 18 through 25 must be properly registered with the Selective Service System to be eligible for employment.
