Position Summary
Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. A pool of applicants is maintained and the hiring manager will draw from the pool on an as‑needed basis. When an opening occurs, the selected candidate will be contacted.
Security Sensitive PositionThis position is designated as a security sensitive position and requires a satisfactory criminal history background check. Males between the ages of 18 through 25 must be properly registered with the Selective Service System to be eligible for employment.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in approved disciplines, providing instruction that enables students to acquire the specific learning outcomes of the assigned courses.
- Create and maintain an effective learning environment in all modalities, including face‑to‑face, hybrid, online/Zoom, and dual credit instruction.
All faculty members must meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) credential standards, normally including an earned Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in the discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or licenses must be submitted with the application.

Adjunct faculty must demonstrate the ability to instruct in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses; to meet the objectives of assigned courses; to create a professional and effective learning environment; to communicate effectively with students, college personnel, peers, and the public; to treat all persons with respect, dignity, and justice without discrimination; to exercise the highest professional and ethical standards;
and to observe the College’s policies and procedures.
