Position SummaryWeatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. Responsibilities- Teach courses in the approved discipline (face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, or dual credit).
- Provide instruction that facilitates student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for each course.
- Mentor students inside and outside of the classroom.
- Provide timely feedback to students and respond to communications in a timely manner.
- Assess student performance and submit final grades in a timely fashion.
- Maintain an effective learning environment and adhere to College policies and procedures.
- Attend adjunct faculty meetings, complete required training, and assess courses at departmental and institutional levels.
- Master’s degree in Art or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in Art.
- Demonstrated ability to instruct in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses.
- Ability to communicate effectively, treat all persons with respect, dignity and justice, without discrimination based upon age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation or gender identity.
- Knowledge of College policies, procedures, and commitment to professional and ethical standards.
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) credential standards must be met.
