Job Description Summary
The Organizational Leadership discipline at Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for this continuous recruitment adjunct faculty position within the department. Applying for an adjunct appointment would add the applicant to a pool which is available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case a need arises for the academic year.
When an opening occurs, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants on an as needed basis.
The primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as mentoring students inside and outside of the classroom.
The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned. Teaching modalities may be face-to-face, hybrid, online/Zoom, or within the context of dual credit instruction. Hours vary, depending on the need and course schedule, and may include day, evening, and/or weekend instruction.
All faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
Required Education
All faculty members must provide minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools ( SACS ) credential standards which normally include an earned Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline.

Required Experience
At least two years industry experience in organizational leadership. Evidence of competence in the area of instruction. Documented experience of successful teaching. Knowledge of teaching methodologies/pedagogical strategies. Possess good time management skills.
Preferred Education
Preferred Experience
Experience teaching working professionals, bridging leadership theory to professional practice. Experience teaching in higher education. Related field and/or industry certifications, if applicable.
