Pride Health is Hiring – Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

Location: Weatherford, TX 76086

Pay Rate: $30–$40 per hour

Contract Duration: 07 months to perm role on the basis of performance

Travel: Some travel between CCBD sites may be required

Pride Health is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to perform high-complexity laboratory testing and ensure accurate, timely reporting of patient results. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, adherence to regulatory standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment.

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing, and reporting.
• Perform test analyses using approved department SOPs.
• Review and release test results accurately and promptly.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of patient results and proficiency testing.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety guidelines.
• Document quality control activities, calibrations, and maintenance.
• Identify and resolve testing issues or notify senior technologist/supervisor as needed.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from performance standards.
• Report STAT and critical results according to department policy.
• Participate in training, department meetings, and safety sessions.
• Assist during regulatory or government inspections if required.
• Maintain professional department appearance and organization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Strong understanding of basic and high-complexity laboratory testing.
• Knowledge of Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA).
• Proficiency in multiple computer systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple procedures simultaneously.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Preferred: BS in Medical Technology
• Accepted:
• BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology
• Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
• Previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433
• National certification (ASCP or AMT) preferred or eligible.
• Foreign-educated candidates must provide credential evaluation from IERF.
• U.S.
  
  -educated candidates must provide original transcripts.
• State licensure required if applicable.

• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing.
• National and State licensure as required.
