Clinic Assistant
- Perfect Schedule for a college student

Open Eyes Vision Center is seeking a reliable and compassionate Optometric Assistant to join our clinics located in Arlington, Mansfield, Fort Worth and Burleson. This role combines patient care with administrative support to ensure smooth clinic operations and an excellent patient experience.
Saturdays are required.

Schedule:

Part-time, averaging 8-24 hours per week. Must be available to work at least one weekday plus Saturday.

Part-time staff typically work according to their class schedule. For example, class days are Mon/Wed/Fri, so availability is Tuesday/Thursday and Saturday. We don't offer half-day shifts, as our clinics are busy all day. Work hours are typically 9:30 am
-5:30 pm.

Part-time, ranging from 8-24 hours per week. Saturdays are required - always our busiest days in the clinic. More hours are available during our peak seasons including the last two weeks of December, Spring Break and the back to school season (mid-July through mid-August)

This position requires reporting to other local clinics as assigned
- Weatherford, Lake Worth, Hulen Mall.

Responsibilities Clinical Duties:
  • Prepare exam rooms and sanitize equipment
  • Escort patients, record medical history, and perform basic pre-tests (auto-refraction, tonometry, visual acuity)
  • Educate patients on eye health and contact lens care
  • Assist doctors during exams and maintain accurate EHR records
  • Monitor and restock clinical supplies
Administrative Duties:
  • Greet and assist patients at check-in
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
  • Keep clinic and reception areas clean and welcoming
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Medical Assistant certification (preferred, not required)
  • Prior medical/optometry office experience (preferred; training provided)
  • Excellent customer service, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; lift up to 25 lbs
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Salary dependent on experience
