Job Overview
Lennox AES is seeking a skilled Welder to work at our Weatherford, TX location. The role focuses on fabricating and welding components such as roof curbs and drop‑box diffuser systems using MIG welding techniques.
- Fabricate custom and standard products from blueprints with high attention to detail and efficiency.
- Communicate with shop manager and engineering on product issues and assist with streamlining methods for production.
- MIG weld 10‑to‑20‑gauge galvanized steel for adapters, curbs, and other products.
- Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
- Under direct supervision, spot weld metal components.
- Experience with safe welding practices.
- Ability to learn to read fabrication drawings with some instruction.
- Capability to weld 10‑to‑20‑gauge galvanized steel (trainable).
- Physical ability to load fabrication parts onto the weld table and move objects up to 75 pounds.
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
- Self‑starter who requires minimal guidance on daily tasks.
- Detail oriented with quality focus.
- Working knowledge of MIG welding machines, preventive maintenance, and control settings for efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
- Preferred:
Trade school or certification in welding. - Required:
1 year of previous MIG welding experience. - Positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
This is an hourly, non‑exempt position. The starting pay range is $20 per hour
. Overtime is available for hours worked beyond 40 per week, compliant with state law.
