Float RN II-Weatherford, Tx

Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a Float Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Weatherford, TX. This full‑time position (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑5 pm) does not involve weekend, call or major holiday coverage. The role is a true float position, traveling between Weatherford, Azle, Granbury, and occasionally Cleburne.

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
• Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
• Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
• Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients.
• Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient's chart.
• As necessary, facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
• Assist patients in locating available community resources.
• Interprofessional collaboration.
• Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Willing to consider entry, mid, or senior level candidate.
• Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods, occasional lifting of items up to 40 lb, corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
