Job Summary The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department's requirements and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and supports the organization’s vision, mission, and values to deliver an unparalleled patient experience and strong clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after interventions.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipate needs to deliver exceptional care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translate complex medical terminology for clear understanding.
- Educate on non-medicinal follow-up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and other lifestyle changes. Prepare patients and families for future self-management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- No travel required
- 1 year of experience required
