American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

• Work in a 23-bed Emergency Department within a hospital setting
• Facility is a Level IV trauma center, primary stroke center, and Chest Pain Accredited with 24/7 PCI capability for STEMI
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1
• Unit staffed entirely by RNs with techs at the lobby and a dedicated secretary
• Uses standard ED equipment and Meditech documentation system
• Night shift schedule from 7PM to 7AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed

• Active TX RN license or compact license currently in hand (temporary license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS
• Meditech experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide emergency care to a wide range of patient acuities within a busy ED setting
• Scrub color for RNs is royal blue
• Dress code requires clean, natural nails with no artificial enhancements, neatly groomed hair, and covered body art where feasible
• Visible piercings other than ear piercings are not permitted
• Shoes must be constructed of non-absorbent material with slip-resistant soles; breathable mesh athletic shoes are not permitted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• Standard company-wide attendance policy applies
