Job DescriptionFusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN in Labor and Delivery for a 13‑week assignment in Weatherford, Texas.
Job DetailsTravel Nursing assignment – 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts, full‑time, permanent travel position.
Required Qualifications- One year recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
- STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA / ARC)
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Prepare equipment and aid physician
- Provide immediate postpartum care
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and others
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence‑based protocols
- Document patient care accurately in the medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
- Assist in cesarean sections and other procedures
- Comply with all regulatory standards, hospital policies, and state laws
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of labor and delivery nursing
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- English reading, writing, and speaking
- Ability to follow instructions, PC skills
- Physical ability to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push/pull, bend
- Interpersonal skills to work with diverse personnel
- Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and procedural assistance
- Mental resilience under pressure; ability to work with irregular schedules
- Sensory: visual acuity and communication
