Shop Tech - Valves

TEAM UP WITH US!

• Tear down and inspect a variety of valves and packing cases.
• Read dial calipers.
• Recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
• Basic hand tool knowledge.
• Stand and operate a sand blaster.
• Basic machining knowledge.
• Basic shop maintenance and clean up.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical shop/field experience.
• Observes safety procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization.
• Knowledge of MS Office and use of a Windows-based computer.
• Proactive, problem-solving individual who manages a varied workload with constantly changing priorities.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
