Role DescriptionThe Heavy Equipment Technician is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Weatherford, TX. This position focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. Day‑to‑day tasks include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues, completing service records, and following established safety standards. The technician will collaborate with other team members, communicate repair needs and timelines, and support customers by providing clear updates on equipment status.
The role may involve using diagnostic tools, reading technical manuals, and handling parts ordering and inventory related to assigned repairs.
- Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance to perform routine service and inspections.
- Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Repair and Heavy Equipment to handle complex mechanical work on a variety of machinery.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently.
- Relevant experience in heavy equipment or diesel technology, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
- Strong commitment to safety practices, attention to detail, and accurate documentation of work performed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication skills when interacting with colleagues and customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in equipment or automotive repair are beneficial.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and work with heavy parts and equipment, and to work in various shop and outdoor conditions.
