the Position of Automotive Mechanic

As Mavis's leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. They perform a wide variety of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks. They are also responsible for completing state‑mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.

Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age.

Be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or a combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Possess an extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.

Preferred:
State inspection license(s).

Preferred: ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical requirement: stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, perform repeated movements and regularly lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
