Mechanical Engineer

The mechanical engineer designs new weighing and medical equipment, customizes existing products, interacts with customers and suppliers, and facilitates the manufacturing of our products.

• Performs engineering assignments to design new or modify existing products to specification.
• Designs parts and assemblies using Solid Works and AutoCAD software packages.
• Analyses designs with Solid Works Simulation and Solid Works Plastic.
• Designs manufacturable products within the company’s current or planned manufacturing methods.
• Leads and helps in the manufacturing, assembly and testing of new products and prototypes.
• Ensures that new products comply with all applicable rules and regulations.
• Coordinates and works with electronics engineering, manufacturing engineering and drafters.
• Sources and selects components needed for products.
• Aids in the implementation of new products or reinvented products in our manufacturing process.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3D Modeling experience

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Solid Works and AutoCAD experience
• Experience in programming Drive Works
• Experience in running Solid Works Simulation
• Experience in running Solid Works Plastics

• Experience in plastic parts and mold designs
• Experience in sheet metal design
• Experience in Microsoft Excel programming

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
