Position:
Abstractor/Searcher

Entry Level Position in our Hamilton County office, located in Webster City, Iowa. Provide extensive research with digital database, courthouse land records and other online tools. Compile details of complete ownership of real estate, and conveyances, encumbrances, liens, judgments, etc. affecting chain of title. Prepare abstracting products aligned with the high standards required by our profession, and those for legal purposes.

Serving law firms, lenders, real estate firms, settlement (closing) companies and their consumers.

• Abstract research, compiling, typing, printing
• Open Office Suite knowledge (helpful, yet easy to learn)
• Ability to maintain spreadsheet
• Search database and Court House land records
• Familiar with legal descriptions (helpful, but not necessary)
• Effectively communicate in person, by telephone and email
• Help maintain Exceptional Customer Experience
• Ability to maintain accuracy while multitasking
• Professionally represent company outside office

• Ability to type 55 wpm and proof read work
• Strong mental retention and recall
• Telephone etiquette, pleasant voice, smile when conversing
