Job Summary
Introba is seeking an Associate, Senior Architect to join our growing team located in St. Louis. The Associate, Senior Architect will provide architectural design and construction administration services from initial project inception through completion, serving as Introba’s primary single source contact for each project.
Responsibilities- Research, plan, design, and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, building codes, and materials; consult with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements for new structures or renovation, and summarize design information regarding specifications, color, equipment, furnishings, estimated costs, and construction time.
- Develop building and site designs, including evaluation of alternative building materials, building systems, equipment, and other program, budget, and aesthetic considerations, presenting and explaining designs to clients and team members.
- Coordinate all components of the building project—site, interiors, structural, and MEPFP disciplines—integrating into a unified design and producing drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and other documents in accordance with quality standards.
- Prepare and submit submittals at appropriate intervals, assist clients with government approvals and permits, and support competitive bidding or negotiated proposals.
- Represent, advise, and consult with clients during construction administration, ensuring compliance with contracts and specifications.
- Assist owners with project close‑out, including final site observation, punch list development, certificate of completion, record drawings, and other close‑out documents while maintaining an organized project file.
- Develop and present proposals for Introba’s services to prospective clients, outlining understanding of the project, services, deliverables, schedule, and fees.
- Administer agreements between clients and Introba, review to assure fulfillment of obligations, and establish work plans and staffing needs for each project phase.
- Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules, maintaining open communication and documentation with the project team.
- Oversee production of drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and other documents, ensuring quality standards and mentoring staff.
- Coordinate and monitor budgets, track project hours, and take corrective measures to prevent overruns.
- Notify Project Manager of additional fees for changes in services as appropriate.
- Oversee construction procurement, assist clients in listing bidders, obtaining competitive bids, evaluating bids, and preparing contracts.
- Represent, advise, and consult with clients during construction administration and oversee proper close‑out of the project.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience; registration required, NCARB desired.
- Diversified market experience;
Government and/or Healthcare experience desired. - Broad exposure to a variety of building types, construction methods, and project delivery approaches.
- Proficiency to Advanced in Revit (current version 2025);
Intermediate to Proficient in AutoCAD. - Developing specifications using Master Spec format.
- Proficiency in report writing and design analysis narratives.
- Ability to edit PDF documents in Bluebeam (desired).
- General support software skills:
Microsoft Word, Excel, One Drive, Construct (BIM 360), and Teams. - Enscape or similar 3D modeling software experience (desired).
- Experience in Federal projects requiring UFGS criteria (desired).
