Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead role drives the strategic direction of the landcare division by providing a variety of top-tier landscaping services. Reporting to the operations management team, the primary objective is to manage a dedicated maintenance crew, oversee job tasks, and effectively train new team members. Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize daily routes to ensure sufficient resources are available and tasks are completed in a time‑efficient manner.
  • Perform comprehensive horticultural tasks, including planting installations, weed control, pruning, and pest treatments, to ensure optimal plant health and attractive landscapes.
  • Manage and lead a crew of two or more employees, handling on‑site personnel issues and training staff on proper protocols and policies.
  • Operate a variety of power equipment safely, including trucks, trailers, mowers, blowers, and augers, while maintaining clean and secure work sites.
  • Diagnose landscape and pest issues, making actionable recommendations or taking remedial action based on standard company policy.
  • Communicate daily with the operations team to recommend account improvements, and actively support the team on internal platforms like Slack.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required, though a two‑year degree in Horticulture is preferred.
  • Bring 3 to 5 years of experience in the landscaping field, supported by 1 to 3 years of hands‑on crew leadership experience.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license to safely operate company vehicles.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem‑solving skills to efficiently make key decisions and delegate tasks.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of pride in your work, a team‑first mentality, and a willingness to represent the organization by wearing company gear.
