SummaryAs an Agent Licensing/Contract Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring agents are properly licensed, appointed, contracted, and provided with credentials to applicable systems. You will manage agent data across multiple platforms to ensure accuracy and consistency, support internal teams, and accurately enter commission rate structures into multiple systems. You assist the Business Development team with new appointments, book transfer codes and Agreements, adding or removing lines of business, terminations, and address changes by providing administrative support.
You work closely with other team members and the Business Development department to address contracting and licensing issues and follow up with the appropriate departments when necessary.
- Draft, review, and manage agency contracts from standard templates to ensure compliance and proofread all contracts before they are sent out for signature.
- Enter and update agency commission rates into multiple systems based on agency contracts, commission schedules, and bonus compensation letters.
- Perform various duties relating to agent appointments, book transfers, adding or removing lines of business, terminations, and address changes, including preparing and processing all necessary documentation and maintaining information across multiple company platforms.
- Conduct necessary reviews of licenses and complete audits of appointed licenses.
- Calculate and request payment for agent licensing fees.
- Collect, organize, and compile data from structured reports such as monthly licensing activity results and agent appointment activities.
- Respond to issues and concerns regarding agency set-up and contract requests identified by the Business Development department or agency force, bringing each issue to a timely and satisfactory conclusion and notifying the appropriate individuals of the action taken.
- Work with vendors and agents to ensure all agent locations have accounts set up as required.
- Manage contact information and set up credentials for agency staff and MAPFRE internal staff, issuing, updating, and rescinding credentials in adherence with company guidelines.
- Associate’s degree or technical or specialized knowledge or equivalent, related experience.
- 1‑3 years of experience, or high school equivalent plus 3‑5 years.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organization, time‑management and planning skills.
- Computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, and internal systems administration required.
- Basic knowledge of internal systems.
- Ability to follow complex, multi‑step procedures and protocols to accurately complete assigned responsibilities.
- Attention to detail with ability to proofread and edit documents.
- Knowledge of Tron Web, V12, and AS400 preferred.
The typical starting salary range for this role is $41,200‑$54,500. Some roles at MAPFRE are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
