Lanessa Extended Care, a leading healthcare provider in Southern New England, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate per diem Physical Therapist to join our team at our Webster location. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload. Up to $55 an hour with weekly pay.
Responsibilities- Screens patients/residents, evaluates, and develops appropriate care plans
- Provides direct patient treatment in accordance with established plans of care
- Participates in the clinical team process, contributes to team meetings, and decision‑making
- Consults with patients, residents, and caregivers
- Documents activities according to company clinical documentation system
- Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
- Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers, and supervisors
- Participates in census building and marketing activities, quality improvement initiatives, and service excellence initiatives
- Exhibits courtesy, compassion, and respect to patients, residents, families, caregivers, visitors, physicians, administrators, and colleagues
- Bachelor of Science Degree, Master of Science, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Massachusetts PT license
- Ability to function effectively in multi‑faceted systems and interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills - Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care
- Requires intense attention and concentration
- Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others
