What You'll Do
- Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practices under supervision
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments for patients with physical functioning disorders
- Administer procedures such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices
- Assess patient progress and communicate updates to supervising Physical Therapists
- Document treatment outcomes, patient progress, and discharge summaries accurately
- Offer consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and team members
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and conferences as required
- Assist in obtaining supplies and support student supervision when needed
- Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, ethics, and standards of conduct
What You Need
Required:
- Active State Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Prior experience in long-term care preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred:
- Knowledge of regulatory and clinical documentation requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
