In this role, you'll partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance with procurement best practices and company policies. You'll have the opportunity to influence purchasing decisions, analyze market trends, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
What You’ll Do- Source and purchase a wide range of goods and services, including technology, software, office furniture, facilities equipment, operational supplies, promotional items, printing services, and service contracts.
- Collaborate with internal business partners to understand needs, define requirements, and recommend solutions that balance quality, cost, and efficiency.
- Evaluate products, services, and suppliers to ensure business requirements are met while identifying opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, serving as a liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Stay informed on market trends, emerging products, and industry developments to support strategic purchasing decisions.
- Support supplier selection and qualification by evaluating service, pricing, quality, delivery performance, and social responsibility standards.
- Develop bid specifications, solicit quotations, analyze proposals, and assist with contract development.
- Create and manage purchase orders through the purchasing system.
- Monitor the delivery of goods and services and resolve issues related to shipments, invoicing, backorders, or product quality.
- Coordinate equipment service and maintenance activities to minimize operational disruptions.
- Conduct research and analysis to support procurement initiatives and strategic projects.
- Help ensure procurement practices comply with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Support special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Associate degree, technical certification, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 1-3 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, vendor management, or related experience preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with procurement systems; SAP experience is a plus.
- Experience purchasing corporate operational supplies is preferred.
- Ability to effectively interact with suppliers, customers, and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- CPSM or C.P.M. certification is a plus.

Pay TransparencyThe typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
