Store Manager in Training

Overview

Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses or premiums, which may be paid per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• Assist store manager in sales, appearance, and overall operations of the store; objective is hands-on training preparing a manager-in-training for a management position at another store or future location.
• Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members; manage delivery and installer service specialists, and retail parts and merchandising specialists.
• Supervise work performed by all team members assigned to the store/HUB store; work with district manager and store manager in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging staff; communicate meeting information to all team members.
• Train new team members; conduct performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
• Assist in hiring by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and ensuring qualified selections.
• Support store manager and assistant management in safety compliance and training; reinforce safety expectations.
• Make sales calls with/without the store manager; may be scheduled for weekly customer calls.
• Maintain delivery fleet and records; ensure store/HUB store remains neat, clean, and organized; manage electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll; learn to use scheduling/timekeeping and payroll systems.
• Learn to manage gross profit components; monitor returns; review price matches and overrides; review KPI dashboard and daily productivity; discuss monthly P&L with store manager.

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program
• Ability to read and match numerical/alphabetical characters quickly and accurately
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems

• O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience
• Completed O’Reilly management training program
• Advanced computer skills
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
