Requirements:
Must have NYS Certification as a Birth-grade 6 Literacy Teacher or K-12 Permanent Reading
We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
- NYS 1-6 Students with Disabilities certification
- Exemplify the WCSD vision, Core Beliefs, and Essential Skills
- Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning
Responsibilities:
- Provides comprehensive support to elementary students
- Integrates literacy skills and strategies within the English program, ensuring that all students are able to access text and communicate understanding through writing
- Maintains accurate and timely student records available for teacher, student or parent reference
- Demonstrates a deep and rich knowledge of subject area and the ability to convey it to the students
Salary:
As per current Webster Teacher Association (WTA) Contract based on experience and education.
