LTS Pre-K Teaching Assistant

Requirements:
Must have NYS Certification as a Teaching Assistant - Level I, Level II or Level III or have NYS certification as a teacher. We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
- Works well on a team
- Experience in an elementary setting preferred
- Possess excellent classroom management skills
- Capable of lifting and supporting students with toileting when necessary
- Experience supporting young students in social emotional learning in a play-based environment
- Exemplifies the WCSD vision, Core Beliefs, and Essential Skills
- Must have a professional repertoire including but not limited to organization, time management, technology skills and approach
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers
- Support students with instructional projects
- Assists students with physical care tasks and health-related activities as appropriate. Examples could include: feeding, dressing, transfers between equipment, and toileting
Salary:
As per current Educational Support Association Agreement (ESA) as well as education and experience
