Retail Sales Associate

Pet Smart is seeking a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate passionate about pets and customer service. In this role, you'll welcome pet parents, understand their needs, and recommend food, supplies, and services that support pet health and wellness. You'll maintain stocked, organized shelves, process transactions, and help promote grooming, training, and adoption programs. Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to pet parents, actively listening and recommending appropriate products and services
• Drive sales by maintaining product knowledge across pet food, supplies, and services and suggesting add-on items
• Ensure shelves are stocked, organized, priced correctly, and displays are clean and engaging
• Operate POS system accurately, handling cash, credit, returns, and rewards memberships
• Assist with receiving, tagging, and rotating inventory according to company standards
• Support pet care standards by following safety, cleanliness, and handling guidelines in pet areas
• Educate customers about grooming, training, adoption, and wellness programs and schedule services as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean store environment, following all loss prevention and safety procedures
• Collaborate with teammates and leaders to hit sales, service, and operational goals
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge, service skills, and career growth opportunities
