Job Description Primary PurposeParticipate in the SST and referral process. Facilitate completion of the Full and Individual Evaluation for referred students. Perform psychological services in assessment, behavior management, and counseling for students. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications Education/Certification/Licensure- Master’s degree in psychology from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of procedures for assessing academic achievement, cognitive abilities, and emotional and behavioral functioning for educational purposes
- Knowledge of academic and behavior prevention and intervention strategies
- Knowledge of psycho-social development and learning theory
- Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and students
- Knowledge of counseling theory and techniques
Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing diagnostic or counseling services in an educational setting (preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties- Conduct Full and Individual Evaluations for referred students including psychological and psycho educational portions.
- Select and administer assessments and observations to evaluate academic, intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functions of referred students according to federal, state, and district guidelines.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions and psychological services to students.
- Score and interpret test data based on district’s current guidelines.
- Conduct functional Behavior Assessments and facilitate drafting and implementing behavior intervention plans.
- Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee to assist with appropriate placement and development of Individual Education Plans (IEP).

- Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.
- Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
- Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
- Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
- Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
- Maintain friendly customer‑service‑driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
- Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
