Participate in the SST and referral process. Facilitate completion of the Full and Individual Evaluation for referred students. Perform psychological services in assessment, behavior management, and counseling for students. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Education/Certification/LicensureMaster's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology
Special Knowledge/SkillsEffective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of procedures for assessing academic achievement, cognitive abilities, and emotional and behavioral functioning for educational purposes
Knowledge of academic and behavior prevention and intervention strategies
Knowledge of psycho-social development and learning theory
Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and students
Knowledge of counseling theory and techniques
ExperienceMinimum of 2 years' experience providing diagnostic or counseling services in an educational setting preferred
Major Responsibilities and DutiesEffective verbal and written communication; ability to maintain concentration while performing duties; ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
