K  is seeking a
** DRAFTER / CAD Operator
** to support our
** SPACE SUIT
** for K ’s Science and Space division.
** This is a temporary position for six months
** The
** DRAFTER / CAD Operator
** will work on a collaborative team developing, building and maintaining Space Suits and supporting equipment for low Earth orbit and beyond.
** RESPONSIBILITIES:
*** Using CAD software, such as Draftsite and Solid Works, prepare models technical drawings
* Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications
* Writing related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
* Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
* Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates
* Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available
* Prepare and present designs at various design reviews using MS Word and Power Point
* Produce other required design documentation
* Understand nominal production processes
* Manage multiple issues at one time and develop an integrated solution
** REQUIRED EDUCATION/

EXPERIENCE:

*** Candidates must meet the requirements listed below to be considered for this position; please note required items on your resume.
* This position requires U.S. Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.

* Education:

** Must have a
** associate’s degree
** in the field of
** Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD),
** or a related field.
* ** Years of

Experience:

** Must have  minimum of 1 years of recent and related work experience.
* ** In lieu of degree** *:
* Candidates with
** 5
* * years of relevant work experience will be considered.
* Candidate must possess excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, leadership, and team working skills.
* Demonstrated skill in using computer-aided design (CAD)/drafting equipment and software in design work.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with peers and cross-functional teams and external customers.
* Excellent computer skills (MS Windows & Office)
** PREFERRED EDUCATION/

EXPERIENCE:

*** Experience with Solidworks, Draftsite and PDM
* Ability to examine and measure finished articles to verify conformance to standards
* Familiarity with JSC-STD-8080, Design and Procedural Standards
