Position OverviewThe New Production Introduction (NPI) Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of new battery and energy storage products from concept through full-rate production. This role is responsible for driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer programs to ensure products are launched on schedule, within cost targets, and in compliance with safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Functions- Lead end-to-end NPI activities for battery cells, modules, packs, and energy storage systems from development through production release.
- Develop and manage NPI project structures, including timelines, build plans, milestones, deliverables, and status reporting.
- Serve as the primary cross-functional owner for new product launches, coordinating efforts across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management.
- Oversee EVT/DVT/PVT phases, pilot builds, production readiness reviews, and transition-to-production activities.
- Drive DFMEA, PFMEA, process validation, and design-for-manufacturability (DFM/DFA) efforts to support scalable and reliable production.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and customer requirements (e.g., UN 38.3, UL, MIL-STD, aerospace or space-flight standards).
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, cost, and supply-chain risks throughout the product introduction lifecycle.
- Own BOM accuracy, cost targets, yield improvement initiatives, and key launch performance metrics.
- Support customer design reviews, qualification campaigns, and decision-making processes related to new product introduction.
- Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to support efficient and safe production ramp‑up.

Requirements Education & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline).
- 7+ years of experience in new product introduction, manufacturing engineering, or technical program/project management.
- Hands‑on experience with lithium‑ion, lithium‑metal, or advanced battery systems.
- Strong understanding of battery safety, thermal management, and reliability considerations.
- Experience launching products in regulated or mission‑critical markets (e.g., defense, aerospace, space, medical, or industrial).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience with battery pack design, BMS integration, or energy/propulsion systems.
- Familiarity with NASA, DoD, or aerospace qualification and certification processes.
- Experience scaling products from low‑rate initial production (LRIP) to volume manufacturing.
- PMP certification or formal project management training.
