Job SummaryVoyager Space Exploration is seeking a Mission Manager. This position will be the responsible project manager for assigned payload scope, schedules and budgets, customer documentation and contracts, customer payload data provided to internal functions, supporting various teams as needed, and for verification compliance of all technical and programmatic requirements to the launch vehicle provider, ISS Program, or other governing bodies. The goal of this position is to oversee the integration, processing and launch campaign of customer payloads from contract signing to in‑space operation and return.
ResponsibilitiesProject Management
- Collaboratively and effectively manage projects, actively working with both internal and external team members and stakeholders to achieve success.
- Build and foster excellent customer relationships and drive customer satisfaction on their projects.
- Responsible for the crisp execution and Scope, Schedule, and Budget performance on their projects.
- Responsible for consolidating and communicating customer payload data and requirements to various internal functions including management, engineering, operations, safety, and quality.
- Maintains ultimate accountability for work on their projects meeting requirements, schedule and budget.
- Serves as the primary interface with the customer from contract signing to in‑space operation and payload return, as relevant to payload objectives.
- Conducts and presides over internal and external reviews, including but not limited to the reviews of customer’s payload data, contract requirements and verification, documentation, and compliance data, as well as its launch vehicle partners or their subcontractors.
- Responsible for understanding the United States export control laws and regulations, and the spectrum coordination laws and regulations.
- Maintain and demonstrate a high level of understanding and competency regarding payload project management in space.
- Ensure adequate support is provided for payload fit‑checks, hardware testing, and integration activities both at Voyager facilities and in the field as needed.
- Supports internal engineering teams as necessary to facilitate project or mission success.
- Supports business development & sales teams, including brokering technical reviews, completing feasibility assessments, contributing to proposal efforts, drafting statements of work, assisting in contract formulation and milestone development, etc.
- Ensures all documentation is of the required quality, revised and updated as required, and that all change control and configuration management practices are followed.
- Supports and assures connectivity of engineering teams among companies to assure seamless integration and satisfaction of requirements.

- Responsible for traveling up to 25%, both foreign & domestic, to launch sites, customer facilities, and NASA/Government centers.
