Position OverviewUnder limited supervision, the Test Services Engineer III works cross‑functionally with a team to develop and execute tests for existing product designs and provide testing services to address customer needs. The Test Services Engineer will become fully immersed in our process which involves the development and execution of procedures for rigorous testing and analysis activities that enhance design and understanding for KULR and our external customers.
This position involves design of new test apparatus and fixtures for next‑generation battery characterization systems, interaction in a dynamic team environment, test‑based project management, focus on battery safety, software integration, analysis and reporting.
- Provide guidance in design and assembly of KULR’s innovative testbeds and testing apparatuses.
- Data Processing:
Collect, organize, and process engineering data from various sources, including simulations, tests, and experiments. Develop data analysis pipelines and use statistical methods to draw meaningful insights and conclusions. - Develop destructive and performance‑based test procedures for materials, components, and assembled systems to validate design requirements.
- Support hazard analysis activities for incoming test requests and document safety protocols according to lawful compliance and industry best‑practices.
- Conduct destructive and performance‑based test programs for both internal and customer‑provided materials, components, and assembled systems.
- Provide training for test apparatuses, data collection, data processing, and testing procedures.
- Conducts analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products.
- Ensure the quality of KULR’s testing facilities by performing critical maintenance activities.
- Designs, develops, prototypes, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
- Develops specifications for new parts or prototypes. Identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products.
- Uses CAD software and other design and modeling tools to develop and improve parts and products.
- Conducts analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products.
- Cross‑training as mutually agreed upon by the engineer and their supervisor to further support business needs.
- Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.

REQUIREMENTS Education & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering.
- 4‑7 years of related experience.
- Science, technology or math background preferred.
Skills and Abilities

- Extensive knowledge of to test and analysis of batteries and related hardware.(desired)
- Extensive experience involving design processes with cross system/interface interactions (e.g., mechanical/electrical interfacing).
- Extensive knowledge of common manufacturing processes and applicability to mechanical design strategy (e.g., design of parts for injection mold vs. for machining).
- Exposure to design of structural/mechanical systems, lithium‑ion battery systems.
- Experience working with high energy systems, high power systems, and/or high voltage systems preferred.
