Mechanical Engineer I
Vitesse Systems is looking for a Mechanical Engineer I to join the team in Webster, Texas! The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing components and assemblies with a keen eye for structural integrity. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with RF Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver innovative and manufacturable products for our internal and external customers.

The primary responsibility of the Mechanical Engineer is to design and analyze component and assemblies, while ensuring structural integrity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Communicate technical information internally with various departments
- Design hardware based on customer specifications using Solid Works
- Perform static and dynamic analyses (modal, static, vibration) on designed hardware based on customer specifications using NEi Nastran and Femap
- Create and maintain proper documentation associated with the design and analysis of the hardware
- Support production and test of the hardware
- Review and approve drawings using GD&T
- Adhere to government regulations, industry standards, and internal guidelines to produce quality hardware in a quality setting
- Participate in continuing process improvement
- Demonstrate company core values
Qualifications and experience include:
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Solid Works or similar CAD experience desired.
- EPDM experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of ERP systems is desired.
