Imaging Technologist I or II, Multi-Modal - CT & X‑Ray (5pm to 5am W‑F)

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six months of experience in the primary imaging modality
• Licenses, registrations or certifications:
  • Certification from ARRT, ARDMS, RVT‑VT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT
  • Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT‑GC) through the Texas Medical Board, if applicable.
  • Registry in a second modality must be completed within 18 months of hire or transfer date.
  • American Heart Association BLS
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree – Strongly Preferred
  • Three‑six months of experience in the secondary imaging modality
  • Experience and/or registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Job Description:

  The Multi‑modality Technologist I provides quality imaging and patient care within two (2) medical imaging modalities in any combination of MRI, CT, mammography, or X‑ray. Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider. Procedures are performed under general supervision of a Radiologist. The technologist must effectively explain the procedure to the patient and ensure their competence.
  
  Provides care while obtaining diagnostic quality images. Works a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modality. Position may require flex shifts and support at different UTMB campuses.

• Minimum Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience in the secondary imaging modality
• Licenses, registrations or certifications:
  • Two (2) certifications from one or more of the following credentialing organizations: ARRT, ARDMS, RVT‑VT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT.
  • Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT‑GC) through the Texas Medical Board, if applicable.

• Job Description:

  The Multi‑modality Technologist II provides quality imaging and patient care within two (2) medical imaging modalities in any combination. Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider. The technologist meets all of the qualifications and requirements for the modalities in which they are certified and works a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modality.
  
  Position may require flex shifts and support at different UTMB campuses.
