Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the assigned hospital's Food Services Department to provide professional services to patients, staff and guests.
  • Responsible for planning regular and modified diets for all patients as prescribed by the medical staff.
  • Routinely visit patients and counseling patients regarding their nutritional needs.
  • Participate in hospital, patient, and community education and outpatient programs.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the department's Quality Assessment and Quality Improvement plan.
  • Utilize standardized practices and materials in accordance with PAM Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Must be registered, licensed or certified according to the guidelines of the state in which the hospital resides.
  • Must possess a B.S. degree in Food/Nutrition, General Dietetics or Institutional Management.
  • 3 years of experience in a clinical setting with supervisory experience preferred. Rehabilitation experience a plus.
