Human Resources Manager (Contract‑to‑Hire)

Location:

Webster, TX
Salary: $60K-$75K + Benefits

A growing, family‑oriented organization is seeking an HR Manager to oversee day‑to‑day human resources functions across multiple affiliated companies totaling approximately 100 employees. This role will focus heavily on recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, HR operations, and benefits administration in a highly people‑focused environment.

The ideal candidate is approachable, professional, highly organized, and able to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization while maintaining confidentiality and sound judgment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist ready to step into a Manager‑level role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full‑cycle recruiting, onboarding, and occasional offboarding activities
  • Partner with hiring managers on staffing needs and workforce planning
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, benefits enrollment, and HR documentation
  • Administer benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and leave programs
  • Maintain HRIS, payroll support, employee records, and reporting metrics
  • Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and manager coaching
  • Assist with performance evaluations, promotions, compensation tracking, and HR compliance
  • Help improve HR processes, workflows, and employee engagement initiatives
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience with recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR operations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Preferred Background
  • SHRM or PHR certification preferred
  • Experience in service‑based, industrial, or technical industries a plus
  • Experience supporting organizations with 75‑150 employees preferred
  • Background in family‑oriented or relationship‑driven environments is highly valued
