Base pay: $12.61/hr

• Follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations.
• Perform light duty cleaning, restroom, utility and vacuum specialist tasks as part of team cleaning protocol or zone cleaning management.
• Sweep, dust all rooms and walls; remove gum, marks, and spills; clear trash; clean chalkboards; clean windows, doors, ledges; sanitize surfaces in classrooms and hallways; clean and disinfect restrooms.
• Maintain floors (carpet extracting, mopping, spot removal, sweeping, vacuuming, finishing, buffing).
• Inspect and clean cafeterias, labs, gyms, lounges, hallways, locker rooms, and outdoor areas.
• Maintain custodial closets and storerooms in orderly condition.
• Set up, break down, and clean areas during district or community events and emergency response sites.
• Report maintenance problems to Lead Custodian.
• Work around meetings or special activities during work hours.
• Ensure lights off, doors locked, and building secure before clocking out.
• Clean custodial equipment after use.
• Participate in district’s Standard Reunification Protocol as directed.

• Experience in custodial work or willingness to learn.

Buffer, floor scrubber, wet/dry vacuum, backpack vacuum, carpet extractor, ladder.

Mental Demands: Ability to maintain emotional control at all times.

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors: Strenuous walking, standing, climbing; lifting up to 50 lb; exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals, and materials; slippery or uneven surfaces; work on ladders; work alone.

• Days per contract: 220.
• Hours per day:
  As needed basis, up to 8 hours per day.
• Schedule:
  
  Elementary 2–10 30 p.m.;
  Secondary 3–11 30 p.m.
